Drivers who have two hundred or more rides per month are considered Platinum Drivers. Platinum drivers have access to twenty-four hour dispatch for many issues. Dispatch can help you with the following…

  • Lyft offers free towing services up to five miles and only charges an additional five dollars for each mile over that.
  • If you run out of gas Lyft will have a fuel delivery made to you. Delivery is free but you do have to pay for the fuel.
  • If you have a flat tire or need a tire replaced, Lyft will send a service company out to help you free of charge. You only pay for the tires.
  • Lyft also offers free emergency battery jump services and lock out services to all Platinum Drivers.

Lyft does have limits though. They will only pay up to fifty nine dollars for fuel delivers, tire changing, lockouts and dead batteries. You are responsible for the rest. They will also only pay up to seventy nine dollars for towing fees less than five miles.

Please remember that these services are only available to Platinum Drivers. These benefits can go a long way so consider putting the extra time into giving rides so that you can have these services available. It is always better to have these services and not need them, than to need them and not have them available.
