Today we will touch on one of the most common questions I hear, How do Lyft drivers get paid? Lyft drivers get paid on a weekly basis, and get paid an accumulation of their ride earnings from the previous week. The payment gets deposited directly into their bank accounts via an ACH transfer, and drivers must have an ACH transfer-compatible checking account to get paid.
The Lyft work week starts on Monday morning and ends Sunday night. All of the driver earnings and ratings are tallied up and outlined in a Weekly Summary that outlines your trips, ratings, and how much you earned for the previous week. These summaries are delivered every Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. Never once in my years of driving has the driver summary been late.
Any type of earnings that a driver makes through the Lyft app is considered payment and will be reflected in the weekly summary. This includes ride earnings (regular, Lyft Line, and Prime Time), tips, Weekly Guarantees, and both driver and rider referrals. All of these will be outlined as a line item and delivered to you on Tuesday morning.
